I think I already know what the answer will be but is there anywhere on eBay where it is acceptable to name and shame?

I've just had my first non-payer. Thanks to the wisdom of the Answer Centre I think I've taken the correct steps to sort it out promptly while protecting myself as a buyer.

I will NOT be leaving any feedback as a seller, I know from the many discussions here that this does not help the cause!

Out of interest though I looked back over her feedback and saw that many sellers had employed the technique of leaving pos fb with a neg comment, she is obviously a serial non-payer.

I will be setting tighter bidding restrictions, but is there ANYWHERE on ebay where it is acceptable and useful to name and shame?

The help content goes in here!

No,Its against board policy and ebay policies in general.

I doubt they will be around for much longer,if  they are a serial non payer.

Hi.

No, I`m afraid naming and shaming is in violation of board policy right across the site.

If you open an unpaid item dispute and close it after 4 full days,

buyer will get a strike if they don`t pay before you close.

Set your prefs to block bidders with 2 strikes or more in a 12 month period.

Never be tempted to leave negative feedback for a buyer.

It is strictly not allowed.

Ebay will remove it if requested, and you will get a black mark on your account.

Don`t leave them any feedback, they get 2 or more strikes it will seriously affect their bidding

a user  can do what they like in a private capacity...and even ebay staff/responders can mount a picture on their private office wall and throw darts at it if they so chose

unfortunately however, falsely stating that for example a user is a defaulter of transactional contract or a debtor - where they have no legal transactional obligation - into the public domain could leave the author open to a lawsuit of libel
