Wow this is an old question.
It means Brand New In Box.
However that's a bit subjective, to me it means exactly as it was when it came out of the shop and completely unopened.
To others it mean that they have bought it, had a fiddle with it and have put it back in the box with all the bits.
Any doubt, ask the seller for before buying exactly what they mean by BNIB.

I just had to laugh at radiospace's response as Bent N In Bits !!!!
It doesn't mean that at all - but it's a very entertaining way to think of it, especially when having dealt with so many bad sellers in my time !!! LOL
