2 weeks and still no payment or word from Buyer.....
Jul 16, 2012 04:59 PM

Someone won the auction on one of my items 2 weeks ago.  After a week, I sent a polite message, but no reply.  I sent another message today (2 weeks after the auction) and am hoping I'll get a reply.

I don't want to report the Buyer or complain, I am happy to simply relist the item, but I don't know if I can do that, or how long I need to wait.  I'd hate to relist and sell it and then get a message from the original Buyer apologising for the delay and still wishing to buy it.

What can I do that's reasonable & friendly and how soon can I do it?

As I understand it the best course of action would be for you to open a non-payment dispute. Ebay recommends you try communicate with the buyer first and you have already done this.

You can open a non-payment dispute after 4 days so you have a right to do this seeing as it was 2 weeks ago.

Ebay will then try contact the buyer for you and if there is still no response you can close the case after 4 days and your fees will be refunded.

After the case is closed you can re-list the item at no risk to yourself, and I would advise you to check the bidders feedback history comments as some buyers leave positive fb with a negative comment and it is possible their fb score does not accuratley reflect them as a buyer.

However, don't leave them any feedback as this puts you at risk as a seller. You can block them from bidding on any of your future items if you feel they may cause you future problems.
