An addon for this website failed to run.........
Jan 7, 2012 09:18 PM

I keep getting the warning when browsing ebay pages.

Does anyone know what addon Internet Explorer 8 is trying to tell me about?

The only thing I have noticed, is the countdown timer no longer works.

Is it this?

How do I enable / Fix it?

Any help from the teccies out there would be appreciated.

:)

When one of your add ons isnt functioning properly  you will need to find out which one it is by going to  Tools and manage Add-ons.There you can disable each one in turn to see which one is affecting performance, and they can all be enabled accordingly.

Tried that, and most of it is disabled anyway.

I have reset to default level in security centre.

Adobe flash was disabled, I have enabled it, so

fingers crossed all will be OK.

Thank you

:)

Countdown Timer works and there was no add on warning,

How the Adobe was disabled I have no idea.

I recently ran a full scan,

maybe it was turned off?

but not by me????

Tried re installing ie 9 etc etc , still getting message:   ad on failed to run - its not that I am bothered about seeing Nat west ads it is just that I found the pop up error message annoying !

Hi I had this problem for a while. I RESOLVED the issue the following way:

IE9 Tools/Manage add-ons/Search Providers/ Then UNTICK "Search in the Address Bar"

Worked for me I hope it helps you :)
